"A part of my design process is to analyse the user's everyday life and uncover their conscious and unconscious needs. These needs are then translated into meaningful, functional design. Two primary traits for a design that's meant to last for generations."
Tina Schmidt is a Danish designer who lives and works in Prague. As a qualified designer and occupational therapist, she has a special approach to the connection between people and the things that surround us. Design is about people, she says. But good design should also be beautiful, functional and easily understandable. That’s why ergonomics must be balanced with aesthetics and function, with a strong connection to the user and the situations in which the product is used.
